Spiked Tea

Last week, I went to a party at the NYC office of Hollywood’s trendy Tea Room (often frequented by La Lohan pre-jail). At the party, we got to taste samples of all the different types of alcoholic tea drinks served at Tea Room, my fav was the “Cool as a Cucumber” because, I am cool, and cucumber is super refreshing in the summer:

Ingredients:

Basil, Mint, Fresh lemon, White tea, Cucumber, Sloe Gin, and soda

Health Benefits:

Basil is a rich source of Vitamin K, iron, calcium, and other nutrients. Basil is also known to impart sedative, diuretic and antiseptic properties. Peppermint boosts mental powers and general body energy while decreases stress. The tea base is full of antioxidants, which protect against all free radicals. The white tea is chock-full of flavonoids, particularly powerful anti-oxidants, protecting the immune system and promoting healthy skin

Directions:

  1. Boil water
  2. Add tea into tea pot
  3. Let sit for 5 minutes
  4. Pour tea into tea cups
  5. Add sweetener as desired, stir
  6. Add lemon as desired, stir
